Frequently asked questions
Do You require a retainer/deposit to book?
We require what is called a "Non-Refundable Reservation Fee" to officially secure the date. This typically ranges between 30-50% of your total package, depending on the session or collection you have chosen. This fee is applied directly toward your final balance, so it is not an additional charge. Mini Sessions must be paid in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable under most circumstances- this will be detailed in our contract.
Do you charge travel fees (in-state)?
We will travel anywhere, almost any time. We do charge a small fee if we are driving after 60 miles to and from. If we are doing long-distance, please reach out to us for further information! For our Old Oak Tree - Wedding Collective package, travel fees are covered by the photographer.
Do You offer Travel/Destination Photography?
We are ALWAYS down to travel ;) We typically ask if you are willing to get us there - we will handel all the arrangements AND discount our pricing in exchange :) Reach out for further details!
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
We know things don’t always go as planned. If you need to reschedule, just reach out at least one week ahead and we’ll work with you to find a new date. If a cancellation is necessary, the non-refundable retainer remains in place since it holds your date exclusively. All policies are clearly explained in your contract, and we’ll walk you through everything before you book so there are no surprises.
Can I make my own package?
ABSOLUTELY! We are very accommodating when it comes to packaging, prices, etc. Just send us a message and ask :)
Do you help with planning our engagement session?
Absolutely! Tommy + Shelbi have an excellent amount of experience from being mentored by other peer photographers in the community, as well as their own engagement and wedding experiences.
How long until I receive the final photos?
Final delivery of your photos will be delivered within 6 weeks post session. Sometimes you may receive your final gallery sooner or later depending on time, availability, amount of editing, and work-load. If final delivery ends up being after the deadline, you would be guaranteed a sneak peek.
Can I make a payment plan?
We understand that finances get tough, and pictures aren't cheap. We pride in being flexible for our clients to make things as affordable as possible. During contract negotiations, if you feel a payment plan is necessary, we can discuss this and set one up. We are very accommodating for our clients. We also offer special payment plans like Affirm or Klarna to help :)
How many photos will I recieve?
All viable images from the session will be delivered in a JPG format in a personalized online gallery available 24/7. We believe that our clients deserve all viable images taken and should not be torn in picking which images they want more than the other.
